Santa Clause is perhaps the most popular character during all the Christmas celebrations. The good old Santa is not only popular but the most loved 'Personality' of the children world over. So, when it comes to Christmas crafts for children, the Santa mask is the best kids craft to learn and teach your children. It is also one of the most easy Christmas craft activities which can be prepared with whatever is there at home and you need not go to the crafts store to gather any special craft supplies. Moreover, it takes only about half an hour to make Santa Clause face mask – a time period for which even a child of age 3 can concentrate very well! So, here is the method described for you to make the Santa mask. Lets know then, how to make Santa mask!
Materials Needed for Making Santa Mask!
- Paper Plates
- Crayons or Markers
- Pencil
- Red Paper
- Cotton Balls
- or Fiberfill
- Yarn
- or craft stick
- Glue
- A pair of scissors
- Take the paper plate and hold it against your face. Take help of somebody who will mark the places where your eyes are situated.
- Now cut out two small holes around the dots so that the person wearing the Santa mask can see properly.
- Take the pencil and draw a face at the center of the back side of your paper plate.
- Now take the red paper and cut out a triangle shape from it just like Santa's hat. Take the cotton ball or a ball of fiberfill and with the help of glue, attach it to the top of Santa's red paper hat.
- Attach the hat onto the top edge of the paper plate with glue- a little above the eyes.
- Take strips of fiberfill or cotton and glue them all around the rim of the paper plate to make Santa's hair, beard, and mustache.
- Let the glue dry completely.
- With crayons or markers draw a curved line to make Santa smile. Also use pink color to make pink cheeks of Santa.
- Hold the prepared Santa mask against your face and mark the two corners where your ears are situated. With the help of the scissors, make two small holes.
- Take the yarn and cut 2 pieces of two feet long. Let one of the yarn pieces into one hole and tie a knot so that it doesn't come out. Do the same process with the other hole. Alternatively, you can use the craft stick and attach it at the side of the mask to make a mask handle.
